Marathon Training: 2 Weeks Out


This might sound a little crazy but Melissa and I just booked our flights and hotel for San Diego in the past week! It’s always been a little hard for me to commit to things far in advance. Even though we did sign up for the race in January and I’ve had every intention of doing it since, I couldn’t make myself spend the money on the rest of the trip until it was closer and I absolutely without a doubt knew that Melissa and I were going to do this. Completing 20 miles def made me ready to go all in so…we leave next Thursday, just the two of us, it’ll make for a fun little girls trip too!

The end of this crazy ride is almost here and I need something new. I’ve been trying to figure out what I want to do next, I like having goals, I feel like I work harder and feel better about myself when I have something to work towards. I’ve considered a weight goal, I’ve been missing the gym quite a bit, I want to continue running (a little) but I’d like to start lifting again and I’m going to try a Pure Barre class for the first time next week…we’ll see how that goes. I’d also like to learn to play Tennis, I tried once before and I liked it, not that Tennis really offers me an end goal. But, how fun would it be to throw on a cute skirt and confidently be able to hit the courts on vacation or even a random Saturday afternoon. Sounds appealing to me! I’ve also been thinking a lot about Triathlons, start with a sprint and work my way up. It could happen. We’ll see, I’ll keep y’all posted on what my new adventure will be!
