After spending an amazingly sunny Fourth of July laying out by the pool in my red white and blue bikini, Saturday was a day to get dressed and get out. The day stayed pretty just long enough to take some pics and order brunch with friends at Café Brazil. It rained so hard we ended up playing silly question games and sharing dessert and extra coffees over the next couple of hours. By the time the rain let up we had decided to venture down the street to all the little antique shops on Westheimer. We didn’t buy anything, but we had fun, and Carlos played paparazzi the whole time. Afterwards we watched an amazing French film a friend had recommended, The Intouchables. Look it up, it’s on Netflix and it was really really good! Later that night we all went to Fox Hollow to hear Bombon and dance dance dance. Apparently they have this great dance party the first Saturday of every month, I’ll def be going back!
I went 3 days in a row sporting my red white and blue, so I had to share at least one of my patriotic looks. I found these little sailor style shorts at Banana, Carlos thought they looked “athleticy” and was surprised I wanted to wear heels with them…I thought they had a bit of a pin up appeal. Probably not the best day to wear this with the rain and all, but hey.
