Casually Glam

The weather is def looking up here in Houston. Although we haven’t hit amazing temps yet, the mornings and evenings have been quite pleasant. I’ve even started making use of some of my lightweight long sleeved pieces this week. Not really out of necessity, more out of an intense desire to start sporting a fall wardrobe. Any excuse to change it up a little, right? Speaking of shopping…this is my easy, comfy, glammed up but still casual look. Great for a little shopping followed by drinks, maybe :) I mean, add a good red lip to any look and you’ve got instant glamification!

I bought this shirt years ago, I don’t even remember where but I probs won’t ever get rid of it. It’s super light and I love the slight puff detail at the shoulders. With jeans and slippers any basic T will make your shopping trip comfy and more long-lived. The bright necklace and lip dressed it up a little without changing my comfort level, and seriously who wouldn’t love that?!? This way I didn’t have to go back home to change before meeting up with friends at the end of my shopping excursion. Win Win! I thought I’d also take a risk with pattern mixing. My leopard slippers were neutral enough to add a louder clutch, and I liked how the color palette in the clutch tied in with my red accents. This is why I love basics, you can add so many different little things to make your outfit more fun!

top: super old // jeans (old): express // leopard slipper (scored on super sale at nordstrom rack): miu miu // necklace: gift //clutch: urban outfitters // earrings: tory burch // sunnies: D&G // lips: natasha by stila

Hope everyone else is enjoying this weather too!
