Typically I’m not a big fan of rain but this Friday I was absolutely loving it. I needed a break, and there’s no better excuse to stay in on a Friday night. I made dinner, watched a couple of movies, flipped through a magazine, and even gave myself a fall appropriate manicure. How I’ve missed my Lincoln Park After Dark :) Saturday morning I slept in a little and woke up to even more rain. Even though I enjoyed my lazy night in, I was determined not waste my entire weekend in my pajamas locked inside. I decided to get dressed and drive out to Spring to visit my bestie knowing she’d be brave enough to head outside for a rainy day photo shoot. Once I got outside the rain had just about stopped and the breeze was amazing, I wanted to be outside now. And when you’ve got a super cute pair of rain boots it def helps you wanna get out and show them off. So, my recommendation to everyone: Go out and get yourself a fun rain boot! And you DO NOT have to spend a lot of money, but if you decide to, I think they are a great investment. They keep you from ruining other shoes while still looking cute and they entice you to leave your house (saving you from later regretting a wasted day.)
Just because it’s ugly outside doesn’t mean you have to feel gross too. Throw on some leggings or skinny jeans and your fab rain boots add chunky socks for that little extra. I’m pretty sure I’ve found all my cute tall socks at Target for less than $5. It was just cool enough that I had to wear my new super comfy, light weight, oversized $70 sweater that I bought on sale last week for $18 at Banana. Love it! I added a great necklace, grabbed my umbrella, and instantly felt super cute! Simple, easy, fun.The best part was that the second half of the day ended up being absolutely gorgeous. I’m glad I got out!
I just have to throw in that I’ve been wanting a bubble umbrella forever but never really took the time to look for one. I was lucky enough to bump into this one at Target just before the crazy rain we experienced last week, so glad I scooped it up :)
Hope y’all enjoyed your weekend too!
